This month is Stampers Choice. I decided to use the Tree Angle Photo-polymer Stamp Set (153442) for this month’s project. A little Christmas card in August.

First, start with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Whisper White card stock. Then score the card stock at 4 1/4″ create your card.

The next layer consists of 3 pieces.  I used Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce as my colors. The first piece is 5″ x 3 3/4″ and just a piece of colored card stock. I made 2 cards so i cut one of each color. Next is a piece of Whisper White cut 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″. I then dry embossed the white pieces with the Argyle embossing folder to give them some texture. The third piece was just a piece of DSP cut 4 7/8″ x 1 1/4″. For these I used some of the new plaid DSP.

I used the Tree Angle Set to Stamp the Trees in Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. I used Soft Suede for the tree trunks. I stamped the images on Whisper White and then used the matching triangle dies to cut out the trees. I mounted these to colored scraps of Cobbler and Spruce and cut around the white to make the trees pop out more on the whisper white. I mounted the outer trees to the base directly using snail and used dimensionals to adhere the middle tree. Copper star embellishments were added last. The set also has a star stamp which could easily be added instead of the copper stars. For my greeting I stamped my sentiment in VersaMark ink and heat embossed in White on the colored card stock.
