Welcome to the March Stampers By the Dozen Blog Hop!

It has been raining here in Braidwood, IL for the past 2 days, so I chose to use the Under My Umbrella stamp set to create a few cards.  I CASEd the card on page 42 of the Stampin’ Up January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.

I started with a 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ piece of card stock and scored it at 4 1/4″ to create the card base. I stamped the floral images from the stamp set as a background image.  I used Pool Party card stock for one card with the images stamped in Coastal Cabana ink, the other base is Highland Heather card stock and Gorgeous Grape ink.

Then I cut a rectangle in Whisper White (3 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) to place under the So Very Vellum Specialty DSP (3 1/4″ X 4″). It shows off the colors of the So Very Vellum Specialty DSP so nicely.  These layers were mounted in the center of the base with adhesive. For the first card, I used Pool Party Vellum and the other Purple Posy.

The banner down the center was made from a piece of card stock (2 1/8 X 5 1/4) which I flagged at the bottom.  I stamped the sentiments from the Under My Umbrella set with Versa mark and embossed them with white embossing powder. Daffodil Delight and Pool Party card stock was used.  The banners were mounted to the center with adhesive.

The center circle I used the 2 7/8 circle from the Stitched Shapes dies and stamped the raindrops with Pool Party ink. The umbrellas were punched from the Pleased As Punch DSP and mounted with a small white bow made from Bakers Twine.
